What Our Students Have to Say
Jane Griefahn, NSW Australia
Current Student
I never imaged that I would ever have the chance to study Graphic Design as I have no prior experience in anything art related. I discovered the course while surfing the net, here I am half way through.
The modules & assignments are very easy to follow while they are in depth and challenging. The schoolyard is a good place to look around the site and covers everything from your modules to a on line library full of resources from videos to tutorials, even portfolios of designers and a forum. Uploading your assignments is simple and they are returned to you with your marks and detailed feedback from your tutor in a short time frame. The forum is a absolutely amazing place where you can ask questions, receive answers and feedback from tutors and other students, you can find all the answers to any question you have there.
This whole new way of thinking and has brought out my creativity. I am amazed at what I have learnt so far. It is also good that the course can be done on line at your own pace (as I am a mum and it all works out well, I study while the kids are at school).
I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to study Graphic Design, I have learnt more than I ever thought there was to Graphic Design! I am looking forward to getting into the industry!

This was my first experience of online tution. I could never have chosen a better course to do. I work, full time, so the fact that I can study and work on my assignments in my own free time and not having to travel, is just great.
The support and help I get whenever I ask a question through the forum page is always very detailed and prompt. I think it's one of the best things, by reading fellow students questions, you can have yours answered. It also allows you to keep in touch with the tutors as well get to know the other students.
The Schoolyard is full of everything needed and more; modules, videos, an extensive design library and lots of cool videos and links! Each assignment is marked and sent back with feedback is so quick and efficient!
I'm loving it, and would recommend it to anyone!!!

The graphic design course has absolutely exceeded my expectations. There is a wealth of information & tools available to me, and the excercises are designed to ignite the designer within. I feel both creatively inspired & practically equipped to enter the graphic design industry.
The best part is, my peers & tutors are always just a click away on the Forum to answer my questions, provide encouragement & guide me on my journey. I can't wait to get each assignment handed in to see what is coming next!

I am a self taught motion graphics designer and have recently starting doing design for print.
Because of this course, I am confident my clients are getting value for money as the course is teaching me not only computer skills but the fundamentals of graphic design.
I know I am getting it right and that confidence is magic!

I am nearly halfway through the course and I'm loving the challenge. Studying online allows me to fit college in around working and without the stress of travelling and deadlines.
My tutor always gives encouraging, thought-provoking feedback to assignments that is prompt and detailed.
One of my favourite aspects of the course is the Forum. It's an invaluable tool where I find most of the answers to my questions before I've even asked!
Each module is easy to follow, well written and I have been thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the course.
Accept the challenge and become part of our community - you won't regret it!

I am extremely, and I really do mean extremely, impressed with my tutor. It seems that no sooner have I uploaded my assignment that she has responded with a very thoughtful and knowledgeable appraisal of my work. She is very encouraging.
I feel that the school is doing its utmost to stay on the cutting edge of the industry and am sure that they are gaining an enviable reputation in the industry.
I had played with my own designs, and was commissioned by a few people to design and build sites for them, but I wasn't confident on the design side of things - I knew I lacked the ‘professional’ edge.
I had secretly toyed with the idea that it would be great to work in the graphic design studio that I was freelancing web development for, but felt sure that because of my lack of training and my age, that wasn't going to happen.
Well, since my course at The Graphic Design School, my boss has employed me to work in the studio. Not only that - yesterday I designed my first site for a client there, and they loved it.
I talked to my employer about my course content and he was impressed with the work I was doing - I am convinced that this was what led him to have the confidence in me to offer me the job.
There is another graphic design trainee working here under an apprenticeship scheme. I have shown her what I am doing in the course, and she is quite envious! Her uni training is not as in depth as the material I use through The Graphic Design School.
I love being able to study at home in my own time, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to undertake a course like this. I don't live near a major city and work commitments wouldn't permit.
